How to Use the Library

◆Available hours

From Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m..
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m..
On Sundays and National Holidays, and certain periods of Summer, Winter and Spring vacation closed.

◆For the first time

Contact us at the visitor's counter on the 2nd floor of the library, and fill out a registration form. Please bring proof of identification (such as a health insurance card, valid driver's license or foreign resident registration card, etc).

◆How to borrow books or materials (Lending policy)

You may not make a loan of books or other materials (e.g. magazines, videos, CDs and DVDs). You may read books, appreciate DVD Videos, and may use the Internet terminal in the library.

◆How to use the photocopying

Library materials can be copied. Within the limits of the Copyright Law，copies can be only made for the purpose of research and study. Ask a library member for photocoping with the application form filled in. The fee for one sheet is 10 Yen.

◆How to use the Internet

We have Internet terminals. Please apply to the service counter to use them.

Cautions in using the Internet

The following are prohibited.

  • Writing in the hard disk, such as storing data or changing the settings.
  • Installing, downloading and printouts.
  • Using external memory and storage media, such as floppy disks, and USB memories.
  • Any activity that may cause a problem to library operations.

    If you have difficulty finding items on the shelves, feel free to ask a library staff for assistance.
